In episode 31 I sat down with Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis. Liz is Co-Chair of the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival with the Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II that organized the largest and most expansive wave of nonviolent civil disobedience in US history. She is the Director of the Kairos Center for Religions, Rights, and Social Justice at Union Theological Seminary.
We talked about activism and the call to fight for the poor, how this manifestation of the Poor People's Campaign camp into being, and the hope of what could be. This was an inspiring conversation with an inspiring leader.
